Meet the People

Dr. Grace Bulltail is an Assistant Professor with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Nelson Institute and is a member of the Crow Tribe and a descendant of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Tribes of Fort Berthold, North Dakota. She earned her PhD from the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. Her research aims to understand the intersection of watershed management and tribal sovereignty. Dr. Bulltail is a professional engineer and American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) board member.
